Description | Special election to fill the remainder of the present term. Rep. Charlie Norwood passed away February 13, 2007 after a battle with cancer.
This is a nonpartisan special election with a runoff required if no candidate receives over 50% of the vote.
Governor Sonny Perdue (R) scheduled the date of the special election to be held on June 19, 2007. |
