Heidi Davison is no stranger to the rich tradition of community activism in Athens. From education to the environment, Heidi has been active in a wide range of issues that affect the citizens of Athens. As a long-time resident of Athens-Clarke County, educator, and community volunteer, she has experienced first-hand the need for local government to actively seek the participation of all of its citizens. In August of 2002, during the Democratic primary, she was elected Mayor of Athens-Clarke County.
