The reason I'm glad this didn't get repealed is because this specifically keeps out extremists from office. Murkowski wouldn't have won without it and we could stuck with someone like Kelly Tshibaka.

I don't think this is going to be cancelled. Gaetz could theoretically take his seat in Congress but it would mean the ethics report is fair game. I doubt he's coming back. His career was done one way or the other. Good chance he's put in an position that doesn't require confirmation.

So it's been pretty much announced the coalition will continue but it's unknown the shape of what it will look like there are 2 new republican senators who took over Republican seats. One (Robert Yundt) is very critical of the current caucus, while the other (Mike Cronk) hasn't said much.
