| Description | On the death of President Beji Caid Essebsi on the 25th of July, the speaker of Tunisia’s parliament, Mohamed Ennaceur, was sworn in immediately as interim president. An interim president's tenure by Tunisian law (Article 84 of the Constitution) can last only 90 days. President Ennaceur is obliged to resign on October 23, 2019. |
