Description | Following the historical defeat of the Socialist Party in the elections to the National Assembly in 1993, the direction under Laurent Fabius was forced to resign, and Michel Rocard became interim Secretary General. The new Congress settled for October 22 to 24th 1993 saw the confirmation of Michel Rocard against the two other "motions", lead by Jean Poperen and former foreign Minister Roland Dumas. |
