Description | Left-of-center indigenous party with a focus on agrarian interests. Party was founded as the Independent Agricultural Front in 2009 by agricultural technician Eliseo Rodríguez Pari, who changed its name before throwing the FPV's support behind presidential candidate Israel Franklin Rodriguez Calle in 2019. Party later nominated Chi Hyun Chung in the 2020 presidential election and backed him again in 2025. Party subsequently changed its mind, striking an agreement with former President Evo Morales on February 20, 2025 to back his candidacy for the presidency instead. This brought about legal complications with the Supreme Electoral Tribunal and Chi Hyun Chung, who refused to renounce the FPV's earlier support. The FPV has been led by Evo Morales since February 21, 2025 [Frente Para la Victoria (FPV)]. |
