| Info | Mike Plummer is a college and University lecturer and an external examiner for the London Metropolitan University in MSc Computerised Accounting and the MSC in Computer Systems Auditing. He has been a Poole Unitary Authority councillor since May 1996.
Mike is an active member of his local church and Chair of Trustees of Vita Nova (a local charity that helps ex-addicts stay clean through drama therapy and making 14-16 year old school children aware of the dangers of drugs and substance abuse).He also run his own charity event every year called the Poole Park Challenge which raises money for local disabled and disadvantaged children.
Mike left school with one "O" level and started working as a junior sales assistant, he also started part-time and evening courses at a local tech College. At the age of 21 he began his first post-grad and was lecturing in London at 22. At 25 he exchanged his textbooks for a map of the world and went off to back-pack four continents. Since then he has worked in industry before returning to lecturing.
He has post-graduate qualifications: Diploma in Management Studies; Cert Ed (F.E.), Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance; Diploma in Marketing.
