Info | Adam T. Bradley was elected to the New York State Assembly in November 2002 after over two decades of community involvement in Westchester County. He represents the 89th Assembly District, which encompasses the towns of Bedford, Harrison, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, New Castle, North Castle, Pound Ridge, and most of the city of White Plains.
Assemblyman Bradley is a forceful advocate for the families of the 89th district. As a committed leader, Adam is dedicated to reforming government, protecting the environment, preserving our open and natural spaces and an honest discussion about Indian Point and the inadequacies of the evacuation plan.
For over a decade, Adam has spoken out and fought for greater care for children. He believes that all children, regardless of their families’ economic circumstances, are entitled to a first-rate education. Adam is determined to work to ensure that seniors have the prescription drugs they need at a price they can afford and that no child is without health care coverage. Assemblyman Bradley is also a vigilant proponent of fiscal responsibility in government. He continues to stand firm against property tax increases, by supporting the School Tax Relief Program (STAR) and advocating for a hard cap on county Medicaid costs.
Adam has been working hard to live up to his commitment to the community he serves. He authored a law to protect our families from sexual predators (Ch.410 of 2004). His first year as an Assemblyman, Adam sponsored and helped enact the "Brownfields Cleanup Program" (Ch.1 2003).
Adam Bradley is deeply involved in the community. His record of public service includes volunteering as a member of the Advisory Board of the Coachman Family Center — a shelter for homeless families, as the treasurer of the WCLA-PAC — a pro-choice Political Action Committee, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Law Guardian Association — an association devoted to representing children in legal proceedings.
Adam Bradley was born and raised in Westchester County. He received his Bachelor of Arts in 1985 and his Juris Doctorate in 1989 from Pace University. Adam is an attorney in private practice specializing in family law. He has extensive governmental experience having served as an Assistant County Attorney in Westchester County.
Assemblyman Bradley has also handled many high profile Election Law matters at trial and appellate courts, and has acted as a consultant to numerous candidates.
Assemblyman Bradley is committed to ensuring every New Yorker has a clean, safe environment to live in, an opportunity to receive a quality education, and employment in a safe work place. Adam currently lives with his wife, Fumiko and their daughters, Fiona and Celena in the city of White Plains.
