Info | Nick was born in February 1991 and was adopted right after birth, moving with his family to Bakersfield, California. Growing up black in a predominantly white community had its challenges. He is grateful for the experience because it made him who he is today.
After moving to Utah, he attended Timpview High School where he participated in several extracurricular activities, including lacrosse, football, and theater. He graduated high school and served an LDS mission to Baguio, Philippines, where he was one of the first African Americans to serve. During his time there, he became fluent in three languages and learned to play the piano. Even though Nick is no longer a practicing member, he respects the Latter-day Saint religion. Following his mission, Nick enrolled at the University of Utah and walked onto the football team. After playing, he went to work for a few companies and was involved in a workplace accident.
Nick is now an inventor and scientist. He is working on finishing a new tattoo ink for dark skin that produces bright-color tattoos. Being an innovator, he can see how and where to improve systems that most people can't see.
Nick genuinely cares about people, and he’s here to listen to your concerns and search for solutions. He wants to make the country better through effective, actionable, common-sense legislation. He will ground his reasoning in data, not juncture or partisan politics. Nick will work to help the everyday Utahns and never trade his morals for campaign contributions.
