InfoRichard Voigt, at 46, was in the British Columbia Ambulance Service for over 12 years - first in Pemberton on a volunteer basis, where he trained as the Deputy Area coordinator and volunteered for the Provincial Emergency Program.

More recently he has lived and worked in the Vancouver area - in the regional dispatch office, on the street of Vancouver's Eastside, and finally in Maple Ridge. He has volunteered for St. Johns Ambulance, the Scouts, been a coach and a youth leader in a church group. He also promotes a web-based support group for survivors of foster care (afterfostercare.com).

Richard sees Green Party policies as being good for Canada both economically and environmentally. They encourage good business and ensure that government makes decisions based on the good of the community, not the good of the elected official. And as these policies are implemented, they will generate jobs which will, in turn, generate growth.

"I feel the Green Party is the only party that can lead us into the twenty-first century," Richard says. "They have proactive policies which support community growth, and seek out alternative ways to attain common goals."
