Interested in politics since 11 years old he ran for city council in Oegstgeest in 2014. as an independent. Although he was ineligible (he was 15 years old at the time. Was not on the ballot and didnt live in Oegstgeest) he actively campaigned. Morsi's slogan was "Are you tired of politicians write in Shady Morsi" He got 90 write in votes and finished 8th with 90 votes but was declared invalid due the Dutch system not recognizing write in votes. Only 27 votes separated Morsi from the ballot regstered libertarian Lukas Tjeima. 4 years later he ran as Lijstduwer for Direct Democracy and got 13 votes and he finished third in the Labour primary election for leader. Before joining GreenLeft and became Advisor-Elect of Education He is scheduled to be inaugurated on September 30, 2018.
Morsi is besides politics. A Special ED teachers assistant, a news paper writer for the Free Socialist Newspaper, a money collector an aquarist and a gamer, He is interested in politics, military, geography and history, Morsi also used to be a radio host for his own radio station Rave AM until its dissoluition, Morsi is a Egyptian while being 1/32 Turkish, And holds both Dutch as the Egyptian citizenship Morsi is a practising Sunni Muslim. and attends a mosque.
