Info | Rep. Shawn Rhoads, a Republican, represents the majority of Howell County (District 154). He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2012.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Rhoads was a Detective with the West Plain Police Department. As a Detective, he worked as a liaison between the West Plains R-7 school system, the Juvenile Office, Division of Family Services and the police department. During this time, he organized the Shop with a Cop program, served as a member of the HAZMAT team, and was instrumental in the formation of the Child Advocacy Center here in Howell County.
In 2007, Rep. Rhoads was elected to the West Plains R-7 School board. He and his family has been active in coaching mighty mite football, little league baseball, organizing a USAV junior volleyball club and being a host family for the Grizzly volleyball program. He is a member of the Church of Christ in West Plains.
A 1995 graduate of West Plains High School, Rep. Rhoads attended the Missouri Sheriff’s Academy and graduated as a law enforcement officer in 2000.
Born January 18, 1977, in West Plains, Rep. Rhoads currently lives in West Plains with his wife, Jennifer. They have three children: Katie, Kameren, and Jillian.
