Info | Claude Ruey (* November 29 1949 in England ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ).
The graduated lawyer and attorney from 1973 to 1990 member of the legislature of the town Nyon and 1974-1990 member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud . In 1990 he was in the Government of the Canton of Vaud elected, which he served until 2002. Since 1999, he sits on the National Council . From 2002 until March 2008 he was president of the Liberal Party of Switzerland .
Ruey is a member of various boards of trustees, including for example the foundation of the castle of Chillon , the Interchurch Aid and the Swiss Pfadistifung.
Ruey is married with two grown children.
