Info | After his first exposure to forensic medicine while serving in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Jerry Labriola practiced medicine in his Connecticut hometown for over 30 years and is an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut Medical School. A former Chief of Staff at Waterbury (CT) Hospital.
He also served as state senator and ran for governor and the United States Senate. He has studied creative writing at Wesleyan University, Simmons College, New York University and The New School, and under noted author and teacher, Madeleine L'Engle. Dr. Labriola is coauthor with renowned forensic scientist, Dr. Henry Lee, of Famous Crimes Revisited, a book that examines some well known criminal cases, including the Lindberg baby kidnapping and murder, the Sam Sheppard case, the John F. Kennedy assassination, the JonBenet Ramsy murder and the O.J. Simpson case. MURDERS AT BRENT INSTITUTE is his fourth mystery novel, a sequel to the critically acclaimed Murders at Holling General. Currently, he writes fill-time, is immediate past-president of the Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association, a member of the Mystery Writers of America and of the International Association of Crime Writers. He is an accomplished speaker. Dr. Labriola has been nominated for a 2003 New England Book Award in Fiction.
