InfoRepresentative Scott Sifton, a Democrat, represents St. Louis County in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2010.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Sifton is an attorney and partner at the St. Louis law firm of Husch Blackwell. He also served on the Affton School Board from 2001-2010 and was the president from 2007-2009. Under Rep. Sifton’s leadership, Affton rolled taxes back by $6.25 million while raising teachers salaries and completing $25 million in building projects.

Rep. Sifton was a board member from 2000-2006 with the Missouri Lung Association and vice chair of the Legislative Committee of the Missouri Bar Association in 2004. He also is a member of many other organizations including: Affton Chamber of Commerce, Affton Community Betterment Association, Lemay Chamber of Commerce, Concord Democratic Club and the Lemay Democratic Club. In addition, Rep. Sifton was a member of the class of 2005-2006 of FOCUS Leadership St. Louis.

Rep. Sifton graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Truman State University in 1996. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1999.

Rep. Sifton resides in Affton with his wife, Stacey, and their son, Stephen. They attend Webster Groves Presbyterian Church where Rep. Sifton has served as chairman of the Deacons for two years.
