| Info | David Oliver is proud to be the Liberal candidate for Abbotsford.
Mr. Oliver is a devoted educator. He has taught grades 3-12 in public schools as well as in federal prison, and on reserve in a First Nations community.
Mr. Oliver has also started and successfully operated several businesses, managing wholesale and retail operations. He has had many years of experience as a journeyman painter working for others as well as contracting on his own.
An active member of his community, Mr. Oliver is a member of the Shriners, who fundraise for and operate 22 hospitals for sick and needy children in North America.
Mr. Oliver has served as president of Fraser Valley Federal Liberal Riding Association prior to redistribution, as president of the Abbotsford Federal Liberal Riding Association, as a member of South Fraser FLAG, and as a member of the LPC BC Policy Committee.
Mr. Oliver is passionate in his fight for a federal Family Violence Education initiative. This innovative long term solution has the potential to raise a generation of Canadians who are free from the “cycle of violence” that plagues at least one in ten Canadians every year. This initiative could well be the most significant legacy of our generation of Liberals, and will stand as a shining example to the rest of the world.
