| Description | Right-of-center, nationalist party which adheres to the 'Cyril and Methodist tradition' and supports closer ties with Russia. Party was founded by Slovakia's 3rd president Ivan Gašparovič (June 15, 2004 – June 15, 2014) on July 12, 2002 as the Movement for Democracy (Hnutie za demokraciu) between 2002 and 2018, and the Voice of the People (HLAS ĽUDU) between 2018 and 2021. Both parties dissolved. New party is currently led by MEP Milan Uhrík [Hnutie za Republika (HR); Movement for the Republic]. |
