| Description | It’s official. After securing the Vision Vancouver mayoral nomination June 15, Gregor Robertson has left the (provincial) building.
“He has announced his resignation effective July 15,” Brad Zubyk, Robertson’s campaign manager told the Straight by phone. “Now it is up to [Premier Gordon] Campbell, whether or not they have a by-election sooner or later. They have six months, so I am guessing it would smarter to have a by-election sooner and not later.”
In a prepared media statement, Robertson said he had “taken a couple of days to consider the situation” after Sunday’s vote at the Croatian Cultural Centre. |
