| Description |
This southern riding is heavily reliant on auto manufacturing, with all "Big Three" automakers operating plants in the area.
The riding lies along the shores of the Detroit River and includes the northeast of Windsor, the town of Tecumseh, the village of Clair Beach and Peche Island.
Due to the presence of the auto industry, this region is heavily unionized.
In the 1999 redistribution, the new riding of Windsor-St. Clair combined almost all of Windsor-Riverside with 42 per cent of the old Windsor-Walkerville riding.
The 2007 change kept the old riding intact while adding six per cent of the Essex riding.
