Rural riding in north-central Sask, with an economy based primarily on mixed agriculture. Industries in Humboldt include Humboldt Flour Mills and the Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute. There are four Potash mines in this riding: Central Canada Potash Mine at Colonsay and the PCS Lanigan, Allan Lake and Patience Lake. There is also an ethanol plant at Lanigan. Agriculture is the major employer -- the Humboldt district is part of the largest hog producing area in Saskatchewan.
Major communities include Humboldt, Lanigan and Bruno.
