This site likes to have 1 name represent all parties that had that name in a country.

The names aren't quite the same, though. The LaRouchite outfit traded under the name US Labor Party, whereas the link at least (and the two most recent candidates listed) are from the party created in the 1990s. Personally, I'd argue that parties that are very different from each other politically should have different designations here, even if they have the same or very similar names, as in this case.

Yes, very different parties should have different entries AND different names, even if it's a note at the end of the name. You need to know which to choose when entering the data.

Not that long ago the Peoples Party of William Jennings Bryan and David Dukes Peoples party wad one and the same on OurCampaigns. I changed that somewhat

some of the USL candidates were listed as just "Labor" instead of "US Labor".

Right. Going to work on disentangling the LaRouchites from this party name. Even with that complete, it still won't be purely the 1990s/Tony Mazzochi Labor Party since that party barely ran candidates under their own name (only two in SC), and we have a number of other people running under a "Labor" banner at various point in history, but I'll add an explanatory note.

basically the Working Families Party exists to do what the 90s Labor party was sorta hoping to do but couldn't..

It's a little less complex than the People's/Populist thing where a lot of the early 1900s people listed as Populists usually had "People's" next to them on the ballot instead of "Populist".

Pablo Olivera, listed as running here in NJ, is running with the "Labour Party" (non-American spelling) if that matters. Not sure if he's another LaRouche guy, don't think he has anything to do with the SC Labor Party at least?

It would be odd for a LaRouchite to use the British spelling of anything.

i'm not sure if we need a separate party for Olivera using the British spelling of Labor multiple times or if the current alignment works
