| Description | The terms of all senators for Chita Oblast and Aga Buryatia Autonomous Okrug lapsed at the end of January 2010. Those two regions had merged in March 2008 to create Zabaikalsky Kray but up until this point the senators for the expired regions had remained seated. With all four of their terms having lapsed and Zabaikalsky Kray only hereafter seating two senators the membership of the Federation Council has dropped to 166.
As of January 31, both seats for Zabaikalsky Kray were vacant. |
