Description | The National Prohibition Party held its convention in Pittsburgh PA. It was comprised of 200 silver delegates who bolted from the Prohibition Party national convention.
The convention nominated Charles E. Bentley NE for President; he had led the movement for a silver plank at the Prohibition Party convention. James H. Southgate NC was nominated for VP.
In many states, this party was known as the Silver Prohibition Party or the National Party.
