| Description | XXX Olympiad - 2012 Summer Games
In July 2003, nine cities and their respective National Olympic Committees were announced by the International Olympic Committee as having filed for candidacy to become the host of Olympiad XXX in 2012. In May 2004, candidacy is made official by the International Olympic Committee Executive Board.
From February to March 2005, the Evaluation Commission visits each candidate city and returns evaluations to the Executive Board in May 2005.
The 107th International Olympic Committee Session convened on July 6, 2005 in Singapore to elect a host city. There were 122 voting members. |
