DescriptionDemocratic nomination
The Democratic district convention met in Greensboro on 5/29/1912 and nominated Stedman unanimously (Raleigh News & Observer, 5/30/1912).

Republican-Progressive nominee
The Republican and Progressive district conventions met separately in Greensboro on 9/17/1912. The Progressives intended to nominate Curry, but after a disagreement in the convention, delegates instead appointed a committee to work with Republicans to find a joint nominee. The Republican convention followed suit. The two committees met on 10/19 and agreed upon Curry as the joint nominee (Reidsville Review, 10/22/1912).
