Description | Big tent secularist party co-founded by Muhammad Badran and Ahmad Shaaban identified with the regime led by President El-Sisi. Party is Egypt's largest and is predominant in both its Parliament and Senate. Party had been a key component of the four-party "For the Love of Egypt" alliance, allegedly established by Egypt's intelligence services in a continuation of its battle against the allies of deposed Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi. Alliance wound up the largest party faction in Egypt's Parliament after elections held in 2015. Deciding to strike on its own as a single party ahead of expected elections in 2020, the Nation's Future party absorbed the lion's share of the "For the Love Of Egypt" alliance in October 2018 and took 316 out of 596 seats in the Egyptian House and 149 out of 300 seats in the Egyptian Senate. Party has been chaired since 2020 by the President of the Egyptian Senate, and former Chancellor of the Supreme Court, Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razeq [حزب مستقبل وطن; Hizb Mostaqbal Watan (HMW); aka, Future of a Homeland and Future of the Nation].
