Description | Conservative alliance and Poland's predominant since 2015, holding to date 229 out of 460 seats in the Sejm and 46 out of 100 seats in the Senate. Coalition began as a parliamentary club called the Sprawiedliwa Polska (Fair Poland) formed by two small center-right parties; Poland Together (dissolved on November 4, 2017), which was launched in 2013 by former Minister of Justice and Civic Platform member Jarosław Gowin, and United Poland, launched also by a former Minister of Justice, Zbigniew Ziobro. Law and Justice's entry into the club in late 2014 catapulted the alliance into Poland's largest after elections held in October 25, 2015. The alliance contains five parties; Law and Justice, United Poland, The Republicans (joined in 2021), the Piast Faction (joined in 2014) and Renew RR (joined in 2021). Alliance is led by Law and Justice leader Jarosław Kaczyński [Zjednoczona Prawica (ZP)]. |
