Description | Marxist-Leninist party originally known as the Communist Party of Wallonia.
Party extended itself to absorb the Kommunistische Partij in Flanders in 2009, which then dissolved itself the same year.
Both parties were created when the Communist Party of Belgium (formed on September 3, 1921) split in 1989.
Party is led by Arne Baillière.
Official names: Parti Communiste de Belgique (PCB); Communistische Partij van België (CPB); Communist Party of Belgium. Party combines both its French and Dutch acronyms in its logo, communications and literature. |
