| Description | Center-right, family-focused pro-business party founded by ex prime minister Pedro Santana Lopes (July 17, 2004 to March 12, 2005). Lopes split from the Social Democrat Party, launching Aliança in 2018 as a comeback vehicle. Party failed to obtain a single seat in any legislative body after elections held on October 6, 2019. Lopes resigned his position on September 26, 2020 and was replaced by Paulo Bento. The party was dissolved by Portugal's Constitutional Court on March 4, 2025 [Partido Aliança (PA)]. |
