Description | Moderate to centrist party begun as a political movement on May 2, 2018 with the task of drawing the public's attention to an Estonia heading down a road to disaster unless guided on a better path by a "wise cadre" of non-partisan technocrats. This merit-based cadre would craft a more endurable national bedrock to "build a 200-year-old Estonia." After a poor showing in general elections held on March 3, 2019 (party failed to enter parliament, capturing 4.4% of the vote), party moved to a right-of-center direction, adopting a new program on October 10, 2020 which incorporated the concept of tapping and encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit of Estonians, one free of government impediments. Party was founded and and chaired by Kristina Kallas until October 15, 2022. Party is chaired by Lauri Hussar who defeated Kallas in a leadership contest Party has been unable to pick up seats in the Estonian Parliament to date [Eesti 200 (E200)]. |
