Description | Left-wing parliamentary group and alliance turned political party organized by the Article One (Art.1) movement. Alliance began with three founding parties; Art.1, the Possible (Possibile; Pos), and the Italian Left (Sinistra Italiana; SI). The alliance chose the President of the Senate from 2013 to 2018 Pietro Grasso to lead it. The alliance began to splinter as anxious MPs cast themselves out to join other parties. By January 2019, only the Italian Left (SI) remained, and a few independent members who later launched the ÈViva party. By April 2019 the Italian Left then lent itself to join ÈViva and the Communist Refoundation Party (PRC) to form 'The Left" alliance. Party consequently dissolved itself on October 13, 2022.
