| Description | Left-of-center nationalist party with links to the Russian Federation founded by former prime minister (1990-91) and agriculture minister Kazimira Danutė Prunskienė. Party began as the People's Movement of Lithuania, changing its name and re-registering on April 20, 2010. Prunskienė was forced to step aside after a stroke in 2012. Party was accused by press reports and NGOs on March 18, 2021 of being a front for the State Security Department of Russia, an accusation the party refutes. Party has been led by Tauras Jakelaitis since July 2, 2020 [Lietuvos liaudies partija (LLP)]. |
