| Description | Center-right, anti-corruption party formed following anti-government protests beginning on September 6, 2015 against a rapidly deteriorating socio-economic situation in Moldova. Party began as the People's Power Party (Partidului Forța Poporului, PFP), rebranding itself on February 24, 2015 the Civic Platform Dignity and Truth (DA) following Moldova's banking sector collapse. Party was founded by diplomat Nicolae Chirtoacă and led from 2015 to 2021 by ex Deputy Prime Minister, Chișinău Councilman and 2020 presidential candidate Andrei Năstase. Party's collapse after snap elections held in 2021 resulted in Năstase's ouster. Party has been led by DA Platform Youth Organization leader Dinu Plîngău since May 8, 2022 [Partidul Platforma Demnitate și Adevăr (PPDA; DA being an acronym of Demnitate și Adevăr (Truth and Dignity) and translated as YES]. |
