| Description | Monarchist, social-democratic party founded by architect and former minister of state Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles. Party supports greater autonomy for municipalities and the restoration of the monarchy under Dom Pedro de Mendoça Rolim de Moura Barreto, better known as the Duke of Loulé. Party was formed as a response to the anti-monarchic authoritarian corporatism of the Second Republic (or Estado Novo) period (1933 to 1974). Party has been chaired by singer, actor and 2021 Presidential candidate Gonçalo da Câmara Pereira since 2017 [Partido Popular Monárquico (PPM or PP Monárquico)]. |
