DescriptionCenter-right, pro-business party formed by future first Prime Minister Václav Klaus (July 2, 1992 - January 2, 1998) after the collapse of the Civic Forum (a spontaneous political platform launched two days after the "Velvet Revolution"), which split into two camps, the center-right Civic Democratic Party and the center-left Civic Movement (since dissolved in 1996). Party has been led by Petr Fiala since January 18, 2014 [Občanská demokratická strana (ODS)].
