Description | Militant, Croatian-nationalist, anti-Serbia party initially launched as the "Croatian Party of Rights Đapić-dr. Jurišić" named after its co-founders Anto Đapić, the former Mayor of Osijek, and former MP Zvonko Jurišić. Đapić once led the Croatian Party of Rights in Croatia (HSP) founded on February 25, 1990 by noted Croatian ultranationalist Dobroslav Paraga, and borrowed its logo and anti-Serb themes for this new party for use in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Croatian HSP had formed the paramilitary Croatian Defense Forces at the beginning of the Yugoslav wars in the 1990s, and Đapić was a commander. The HSP in BiH attracted veterans of the Yugoslav wars who emigrated to Bosnia. President is Nikola Raguž. Party holds one seat in the Assembly of the separatist-minded, Croatian-dominant Canton of West Herzegovina [Croatian Party of Rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Hrvatska stranka prava Bosne i Hercegovine (HSP BiH)]. |
