| Description | Center-left party identified as 'social democratic' and Greenland's dominant since 1979. Party was co-founded by Greenland's first and longest-serving Prime Minister Jonathan Motzfeldt. Motzfeldt was instrumental in establishing Greenland Home Rule in 1979. Party has been led since November 29, 2020 by Greenland's former Minister of Mineral Resources and Labor, Erik Jensen. Party is a strong proponent of Greenland's independence from Denmark, and demands that the Naalakkersuisut (Greenland's government) take over Denmark's responsibilities for Greenland's foreign policy, trade and immigration ["Forward"] |
