| Description | Center-right party active in the Latgale region of Latvia. Party was founded by former "Saskaņa" ("Harmony") party members led by the Chairman of the Daugavpils City Council, Andrejs Elksniņš. Co-leaders include Riga City Council member and former co-chairman of "Saskaņa," Andris Morozovs, and public activist Anna Naryškina, who ran on the "Saskaņa" list in the 2021 Daugavpils elections. The party's chairman is the head of the Daugavpils Latvian Society, Līvija Jankovska. Party seeks to remove bureaucratic barriers established to block communication between the people and their representatives. With the sudden move of former "Saskaņa" city council members to the new party, "Shrink, Latgale!" instantly picked up a dominant 8 out of 15 seats in the Daugavpils City Council, and one member on the Rigas City Council [Sarauj, Latgale! (SL!)]. |
