| Description | The Independent Greens of Virginia is an official political party in the
Commonwealth of Virginia, formed in early 2003.
The party is completely separate from the national Green Party, which
has an affiliate in Virginia. The Independent Greens have a platform
different from the Green Party in the respect that they claim to be fiscally
conservative.
They run on the tag line of "Fiscally Conservative, Socially Responsible."
The main issue this party focuses on is transportation with the slogan
"More Trains, Less Traffic." Their nickname is "Indy Greens". |
