DescriptionCenter-left three-party coalition formed with the express purpose of countering the growing popularity of former Fidesz member and opposition figure Péter Magyar. Alliance members feared that Magyar's appeal would "steal their thunder" ("ellopni a mennydörgésüket") and diminish their anti-Victor Orban bona fides. Alliance consisted of the Democratic Coalition (Demokratikus Koalíció, DK), the Hungarian Socialist Party (Magyar Szocialista Párt, MSZP) and Dialogue (Párbeszéd). Alliance was co-led by Ferenc Gyurcsány of DK, Imre Komjáthi and Ágnes Kunhalmi of MSZP and Dialogue's Richárd Barabás and Rebeka Szabó. Coalition was the successor to the United for Hungary alliance dissolved on March 18, 2024. Coalition held 32 of 199 mandates in parliament in 2024. Alliance chose the Vice-President of the European Parliament Klára Dobrev as its 2026 prime ministerial candidate. Upon suffering a total failure at the ballot box during local elections held on June 9, 2024, Alliance leaders Ferenc Gyurcsány of the DK and Imre Komjáthi of the MSZP broke away from the Alliance on October 19, 2024, declaring that their parties would run candidates on their own in 2026. Their decisions effectively dissolved the Alliance [DK–MSZP–Párbeszéd pártszövetség; officially registed as, "DK, MSZP, Párbeszéd social democratic-green alliance"; "DK, MSZP, Párbeszéd szociáldemokrata-zöld szövetség" (DK-MSZP-Dialogue)].
