| Description | Center-right re-formation of the Justice Party which was forcibly closed on October 16, 1981, and its leaders executed, after the September 12, 1980 coup. This new incarnation of the old Justice Party established in 1961, which held almost total government control between 1965-1971 and was predominant until its closure in 1981, is a personal project of former Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Vecdet Öz. New party supports pluralist democracy (which holds that minority views must be represented in government), and a stronger parliament to countervail presidential power. Party joined the nationalist Ata (Ancestor) Alliance on March 11, 2023 and supports the presidential aspirations of former MHP Deputy Sinan Ogan [Adalet Partisi (AP)]. |
