Description | The Human Rights Party was a radical party active in the early 1970s in Ann Arbor and several other Michigan cities with large student populations. For a time the party held several city council seats, but by 1975 its influence had begun to wane. In 1975 the party changed its name to Socialist Human Rights Party, and by 1977 it was identified with the Socialist Party of Michigan. |
