| Description | Association of the Armenian Community in Hungary (also called National Arman Government). Large numbers of Armenians began moving into Hungary proper beginning in 1672 and launched their first association in 1920, calling it the Association of Armenians in Hungary. The population is estimated to number between 3,000 to 30,000. One of 12 minority associations organized as political parties endeavoring to protect their cultural autonomy and seeking representation in Hungarian legislative bodies. Association was established on the basis of Act No. 20 of 1949 of the Constitution of the Republic of Hungary. Association/party is led by István Czárán [Országos Örmény Önkormányzat (OÖÖ)].
