| Description | Association of the Bulgarian Community in Hungary, most of which was under the rule of the First Bulgarian Empire beginning in the Early Middle Ages. The population is estimated to number between 2,000 to 7,000. One of 12 minority associations organized as political parties endeavoring to protect their cultural autonomy and seeking representation in Hungarian legislative bodies. Association was established on the basis of Act No. 20 of 1949 of the Constitution of the Republic of Hungary. Association/party is led by Muszev Dancso [Bolgár Országos Önkormányzat (BOÖ)].
