Description | Alliance of centrist to center-right parties launched to support the re-election of French President Emmanuel Macron in 2022. Alliance began as "Ensemble Citoyens" in 2021 led by Emmanuel Macron's En Marche (renamed Renaissance on September 18, 2022). Alliance consisted of Renaissance (RE), the Democratic Movement (MoDem), Horizons, En commun (EC), Agir, Territories of Progress (Territoire de Progrès), the Radical Party (PRV) and the Fédération progressiste (FP). Alliance was able to pick up 245 seats and majority in the National Assembly after elections held on June 12-19, 2022. Alliance is led by former MP, former General Secretary of En Marche! and President of the National Assembly from 2018 to 2022, Richard Ferrand. Alliance was officially re-titled by the Ministry of Interior "Ensemble! (Majorité présidentielle)" on May 13, 2022 and given the acronym "ENS". |
