Right-of-center, nativist party and one of two major parties in the country. Party promotes and is identified with "Antiquization," described as linking the people living today in North Macedonia to the Ancient Macedonians and the heritage of Philip II and Alexander the Great. Party rejects the Prespa agreement with Greece and holds a primordial grudge against the nation of Bulgaria. Party is led by professor and former energy advisor Hristijan Mickoski [Внатрешна македонска револуционерна организација – Демократска партија за македонско национално единство (ВМРО–ДПМНЕ); Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization – Democratic Party for Macedonian National Unity (VMRO-DPMNE)].
