| Description | Short-lived center-right party initially formed as the 2020 USR-PLUS Alliance (Alianța 2020 USR-PLUS) established on February 2, 2019 between the Save Romania Union (USR) and the Freedom, Unity and Solidarity Party (PLUS). Alliance ran in both the November 2019 presidential and May 26, 2019 European parliamentary elections. Success at the polls encouraged the Alliance members to merge on August 15, 2020. The Alliance was then dissolved by Court of Appeal order on April 16, 2021. Leaders of the newly-formed USR-PLUS rebranded the party Save Romania Union (USR) on October 3, 2021, consequently dropped USR-PLUS and cemented the change by Court registration. The USR-PLUS was led by co-chairs Dacian Cioloș and Dan Barna [USR-PLUS]. |
