Party is a rebrand of the Flemish Socialist Party [Socialistische Partij Anders SP.A)]) which itself is a descendant of the Belgian Workers' Party (BWP) formed in 1978. Party participates only in elections in Flanders and Brussels. Party is chaired by Conner Rousseau [Vooruit (Forward); uses Socialist Party abbreviation SP.A].
