Pécresse founded the party ahead of LR's 2017 leadership elections, then resigned from it on June 5, 2019 in opposition to the newly elected LR chairman Laurent Wauquiez. Party is chaired by the MP for the Alpes-Maritimes' 7th constituency, Éric Pauget, and holds two seats in the National Assembly.
