| Description | cademy Award-winning actor and self-proclaimed Texas "minister of culture" Matthew McConaughey is reviving talks of a Texas gubernatorial run in 2022, saying in two interviews that aired this week he is "considering" running in what could be a hotly contested race.
In a TODAY interview with Al Roker that aired Friday, McConaughey said he is considering running, adding "it's a great thing and an honorable thing to be able to consider."
Those comments follow remarks he made during a Crime Stoppers of Houston podcast that aired on Wednesday, where he said running for governor is "a true consideration." |
